We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th rankedZZ Leiden (15-12) lost on the road to tenth ranked Groningen (14-10) 75-65 on Saturday. Groningen outrebounded ZZ Leiden 42-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Danish forward Dane Erikstrup (208-2003, college: WSU) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Malik Miller (192-1999, college: Morgan St.) accounted for 10 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side. Four Groningen players scored in double figures. American guard Javian McCollum (188-2002, college: Georgia Tech) came up with 15 points and forward Lucas Kruithof (199-2000) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for ZZ Leiden in the defeat. Groningen maintains tenth place with 14-10 record. Loser ZZ Leiden dropped to the eighth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Brussels.
